Gnomes

The three Gnomes in this picture are guarding a treasure chest behind them. The one on the ladder is trying to get away from them. The two at the top are on their Honeymoon and just passing through.............

So do you think they run around my room at night while I am sleeping? I have never seen them do so... However there is a 20 year old boy next door to my room is sure they do...

Parking Spaces

Have you ever lived in an apartment complex? Or maybe a house where there is no parking other than the street? If not, try to imagine coming home each night and finding a strange car parked in your driveway and you have to park down the street and walk to your house. How many times would it take before you blow your top.....? I can answer that question.... THE FIRST TIME!

If there is no designated parking then there really is nothing you can do... except leave your car a home and find other modes of transportation...

I live in a house that has been converted into apartments... I am the lucky one that can park under the carport. There are two other parking spaces out by the street. Those belong to the people in the apartment below me. Next door is a triplex that has no parking... there is however parking spaces up the street.

We are at war here!

The people in the triplex have friends who do not seem to know they should not park in our spaces... I have come home to find someone in my space.. and I sit on the horn until they come and remove their car... The same thing goes for when you need to go somewhere and there is a car blocking your exit...

So, I was pondering..... what makes a person not give a second thought to parking in a spot where they can clearly see they don't belong? And why do we feel a need to run out there and tell them off. We become territorial over those parking spots...

It reminds of a dog running to the fence and barking at people passing because they dared to do so. We also protect our territory just as fiercely as that dog does his...

I remember once working a double shift when I was in my twenty's and coming home so tried that I could hardly see. And low and behold some one was in my parking space. I had to drive around and around the block until a space several houses down opened up. When I reached my apartment and got inside the only way to get upstairs was to crawl...

So I was pondering on this and came to the conclusion that there was nothing I could do but stand behind my car holding a sign saying "Private Parking" now wouldn't that be a funny site to see.

I never thought about it...

In books, like Peter Rabbit, the bunnies always eat carrots right. And if you have a pet bunny you feed it carrots.. This last summer when the carrots were ready to eat I gave them to Peter Rabbit and his family by putting them in three spots I knew the rabbits would pass by... They then changed their rout through the yard and not one carrot was eaten.

So I guess they didn't know the carrots were food...

It has been awhile... we have been so busy with the move to Virginia and getting Shinji set up with all the services he needs that I have had no time for pondering.....

Last year we lost  friends and family members... I know that is partly due to my age and that is what happens when you live so long... Death is part of life... we expect it when we get older... but we also lost two babies before they even had a chance to be born.  They belonged to Roi and Rachelle..

So many people I know have cancer... It boggles the mind.... and it seems as if a lot of them have the same kind that Momma died from.

Hummmm don't even want to ponder that....

Below are post from my My Space Blog.... I have discovered that no one ever reads it so I added them here.......

Peggy
I have been sad lately.... Fishstick died.....

It might have been my fault... Well to put it bluntly it most likely was my fault, I bought some fish to do the clean up work in tank so that I wouldn't have to... The next morning two of them were dead....

Then Fishstick started to swim upside down.... That is a good indication that fish aren't feeling good..... I did all that I could to help him... Just short of mouth to mouth I mean how would you do that to a fish? Would you spit water in his mouth or air.... I just didn't know ......

So we flushed him ....... All drains lead to the sea Right?........ I am sure he is happier now...

If Fishstick would have died and he was the only fish in the tank I would have happily put the fish tank in the storage room.... Now I have these other fish that I have to wait for them to die..... We didn't even name these fish...... Maybe I should and they will die sooner.......

I am not really a good fish mother..... I use to be when I was younger but for some reason I am killing fish at an alarming rate now.....

I don't know if it is my age or what....... I know that Yoko keeps saying "Mom, you just said that" so who knows maybe I feed them over and over and don't even realize it.....
Remember how much fun it was when you were a child and you sat in swivel chair and turned around and around.... Then you grew up and stopped doing those silly things....

Ok..... Just this once.... Lean your head back and do it......... It is like being a child again.... Go ahead....... No one is looking........ Turn turn turn......... If you pull your legs in the chair will go faster..... Oh and don't forget to turn back other way in the chair so that the seat doesn't fall off and dump you on the floor.........

Giggle giggle........
