I have been sad lately.... Fishstick died.....

It might have been my fault... Well to put it bluntly it most likely was my fault, I bought some fish to do the clean up work in tank so that I wouldn't have to... The next morning two of them were dead....

Then Fishstick started to swim upside down.... That is a good indication that fish aren't feeling good..... I did all that I could to help him... Just short of mouth to mouth I mean how would you do that to a fish? Would you spit water in his mouth or air.... I just didn't know ......

So we flushed him ....... All drains lead to the sea Right?........ I am sure he is happier now...

If Fishstick would have died and he was the only fish in the tank I would have happily put the fish tank in the storage room.... Now I have these other fish that I have to wait for them to die..... We didn't even name these fish...... Maybe I should and they will die sooner.......

I am not really a good fish mother..... I use to be when I was younger but for some reason I am killing fish at an alarming rate now.....

I don't know if it is my age or what....... I know that Yoko keeps saying "Mom, you just said that" so who knows maybe I feed them over and over and don't even realize it.....

Remember how much fun it was when you were a child and you sat in swivel chair and turned around and around.... Then you grew up and stopped doing those silly things....

Ok..... Just this once.... Lean your head back and do it......... It is like being a child again.... Go ahead....... No one is looking........ Turn turn turn......... If you pull your legs in the chair will go faster..... Oh and don't forget to turn back other way in the chair so that the seat doesn't fall off and dump you on the floor.........

Tonight I was sitting on my swing on the front porch watching fireflies.... It has been years since I had seen them...
I remember as a child I thought they were magical... And you know what... I still think so... That a bug, an insect can make a light shine in it's body must be magic...
When I say magic don't mean hocus pocus stuff I mean the stuff God does that we mortals can't understand... Like the stars, humming birds and the Duckbill Platypus..... No one can explain the Duckbill Platypus.......
The older I get the more I am fascinated with nature... This is why I shouldn't drive... I want to look at nature as I pass by it... It is a good thing to have someone else at the wheel if I am nature watching... A real good thing!!
In 12 days I will be 57........ Not a great old age but old enough to slow down and smell the roses... Some think that if I slowed down any more I would be dead.... Hey, I stay very busy.... Thinking... Takes a lot out of a person all this thinking I do....
Like....... For months I watched Fishstick.... (The only fish left in my aquarium that survived the mass murder when I forgot to put the stuff for the PH after cleaning the tank...) the water in the tank goes down very fast... I was trying to figure out the source of the problem so I could fix it...
After great study I have come to the conclusion that Fishstick is drinking the water! There is nothing I can do.... I can't make him stop so I will just have to keep adding more every day or so... I wonder why the water doesn't turn yellow........hummmm
